The rise in popularity of canopies and party tents

Canopy tents and party tents have been growing in popularity for a reason. They allow folks to enjoy their open space of a backyard to the fullest, regardless of how hot the sun is beating down. (Or despite the fact that Mother Nature spit out a sudden shower!)

Huge party tents of course can be rented from companies for backyard weddings, graduation parties and the like. But, smaller more affordable party tents or canopy tents are a great buy for those who frequently entertain smaller groups.

Canopy tents can be used to provide shaded seating for a backyard barbeque, or as protection for a sudden shower. (This means you can add “rain or shine” to your July 4th party invites!) Tables, chairs and a serving area can be placed under the tent to allow for plenty of seating out of the sun. While you can grill underneath the canopy, keep in mind the interior roof could get greasy.

Canopy and party tents come in a variety of sizes, the most common a 10’x10’ square. More expensive tents can come with side flaps, which offer even more protection. Some tents come with pop-up frames, while others use slide-in poles. These tents are generally very easy to set up and tear down, and their collapsible nature makes them easy to store in a garage or basement.

There are many online retailers specializing in party and canopy tents. Don’t let the super hot sun or let a little rain ruin your next outdoor function. Consider purchasing your own party tent!
